Just took mine off to install a scope and noticed they were steel (I think...definitely metal) and nicely done. I looked but did not see a manufacturer's name on them. Is S&W making these and if not, who is?

Could be, but I saw somewhere that it was Tapco, probably the same company making the stocks.

Bingo...I think. Looks exactly like the Leapers UTG "Detachable Compact Sights," MNT-950R502-B (rear, black), and MNT-750 (front, black), retailing at $29.97 and $19.97.

I have to say, for stock iron sights, these are pretty legit. They are easily the best I've seen thus far, regardless of who makes them. I was pleasantly surprised.

They are cast aluminum and I can tell you they will not stand up to the
recoil from my 12GA AR
