Plan on purchasing a 15-22 along with slide fire solutions 15-22 asaembly kit which includes a slide fire stock , trigger and muzzle break to increase recoil. Does slide fire work good with a foregrip installed ?

Muzzle breaks decrease recoil, not increase it.

The foregrip should not hinder (nor assist) the slide fire

Actually the muzzle brake sold by slide fire forces gas out the business end of the muzzle to increase recoil to help the slide fire run better.

Im picking up my 15-22 Saturday and will hopefully be able to order the slide fire assembly in Jan.

My thinking was the foregrip would help keep forward pressure there for helping the slide fire. This will be my first firearm since acquiring my foid card

great minds think alike.

I just purchased a 15-22 and I bought a foregrip, and the bumpfire stock...since it does the same job, but only costs 100 bucks.

Next weekend I plan on shooting my new gun, and if all good with it, I will be installing all my goodies on it and testing out the bumpfire! I cant F'in wait! :D:D

I have a 15-22 and purchased the Slide-Fire kit. It works pretty well. I would think that a foregrip would NOT help. To get the slide fire to work with the very light recoil of a .22 you need a gentle grip with only a slight amount of forward pressure from your weak hand. I find that it works best with almost no grip, just resting the hand guard on my open palm and gently sliding my hand forward as I shoot.

On my 5.56 AR I can get a firm grip and "let her rip", the 15-22 requires a very different approach.

Too late for better pics....

Cool. Post results here please.

The foregrip works fine.

Its comfortable, looks awesome, and works good.

I shot my 15-22 for the first time with the bumpfire stock on it. :D
It was damn fun! I brought 4 mags and 1 drum with me, and after work today I went to test out the bumpfire, which I installed yesterday, and installed the cmc 3.5 lb drop in trigger. It all functioned great! It only took me a few minutes to shoot 150 rounds!:D:eek::D
It stopped a few times, a couple of which were from stovepipes, but all in all, IT WAS A TON OF FUN. :D

Here's my beast.

I think Im going to get the bump fire systems stock instead of a slide fire. Probably a CMC, timney, or the slide fire 15-22 trigger. Any issues with the bump fire stock?

I'm hoping to get some feedback on this...

I got a bump fire systems stock, and went to install it, and this is what I see...

This 15-22 is my first and only gun I've ever owned, so I'm far from experienced.

If I tighten down the block with the grip screw, it doesn't sit tight against the trigger guard... I'm not sure if it's supposed to. Although, the hole for the safety spring doesn't line up perfectly either. The stock slides on and seems to slide okay on the buffer tube.

So I'm just hoping to clarify if this is correct or not, and if not, how I should modify it. The angle in the block that butts up against the grip mount on the receiver isn't as long as that grip mount on the receiver, thus the gap of about maybe 3/32".

I don't have the Bumpfire, but I do have a SlideFire. The SlideFire spring retension block fits tight, but the way your Bumpfire block looks it should be fine. As long as the block tightens up and it retains the springs, all should be good. Check that the safety works correctly and the takedown pin is retained. The block does nothing else and there should be only slight side pressure on the block as the stock slides forward and back.

The 22LR recoil is so light, even with the recoil enhancer, that to get the bump fire style stocks to work good is a lighter pull weight trigger and very light forward pressure on the handguard. It takes practice to get the push pressure right, but when you do the bump fire stocks really work great. You don't have near the learning issue using the stock on a AR15 or AR10, with the increased recoil.

Thanks. I tried it again and contacted Bump Fire Systems. It doesn't seem to be an issue. Once I reinstalled it, everything is working fine and it seems to slide fine. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

My mistake the kit comes with a recoil enhancing barrel attachment

I bet that will make it louder as well.

I saw that the standard M&P 15-22 trigger will not work with the Slide Fire kit and it needs to be swapped out, but that video was about 2 years old. I am sure the bugs are worked out by now.
