Hi gang, Looking at possibly installing a timney Trigger # 667 with the small pins. Anyone here done that ? Good ? Bad ?
Any problems with Fail to Fire due to light strike ?
Thanks

I've installed Timney 3lb. triggers in both of my AR-15s and am very pleased with the quality and function of both. After shooting off a bench with the factory trigger group then with the Timney installed my groups improved. Easy install with great results. The Timney triggers have a nice clean break with no creep and trigger pull in always the same as measured with a gauge.

I put the 667 in my 15-22 and even though pleased with the crisp light trigger pull and great reset it made my M&P picky on the type of ammo. I'm actually considering putting back my old set up

I had to remove my Timney from my 15-22, as I had too many failures. Soon as I installed the CMC, all the failures went away. From my experience, the Timney feels good but does not have as hard a hammer strike as other triggers.
Timney might work in your 15-22 but I have never heard of anyone saying a CMC causes any issues. Matter of fact, the CMC is so reliable in the 15-22, that is what Slide Fire includes in their kit.

That is my biggest concern..Light strikes.
CMC is also at the top of my list.
Thanks for the input.

I noticed that I would get FTF with Winchester ammo on my rifle, Remington works great still. It doesn't help that I have 2k rounds of win!

I have a Timney 667-S in my AR-22 but my 15-22s only get Geissele S3G triggers.
