OMG Plinker tactical charging handle! W/ Pics
I just bit the bullet and bought a plinker charging handle.
Why the heck did I not upgrade sooner?
I use a scope 50% of the time and charging has been an issue.
Not anymore!
Everyone should upgrade IMO!
Now who can I make friends with to get me an Odin Works extended mag release?

Do you have any pictures of it fitted?
I was asking about charging handles the other day but being a lefty there doesn't seem a lot of point in me changing mine... Other than for the glorious looks no doubt

A better option would be the old Tacticool 22 billet handle for fit and finish with the PT latch added to.
That works well.
As for the Odin XMR to give it it's proper name. They work great. Check my pic on thread to see it fitted.
You pay more for a coloured one tho.
Rob.

I must have got a good batch because the fit of my PT charging handle is smooth, smooth. Also the PT latch I think looks good and is actually very useful when using a scope, for a righty anyways. Because of its perfect functionality, that is what stops me from swapping it out for a doomsday or Saffa one..but lets never say never

I agree. Ive seen better handles out there but for the price of $35 Can shipped.
I couldnt complain. Up here in Canada alot of firearms items arent exportable do to your laws. Ontop of this, some items are Itar controlled. Which means even more paperwork and extra expense.

I installed the plinker tactical charging handle on my mp15-22 and I liked it a lot it's a lot smoother than the factory handle and I shoot right handed it make it a lot easier to pull the charging handle due to the plinker tactial longer finger grip You can acess it from either left or right handed easily. I opted to buy it cause I actually found it for $25 shipped and so far it's been worth it

Walked into a LGS today and found a new Plinker Tactical Charging Handle on the sale table for $22.50. I'd been thinking about replacing the cheap plastic handle on my 15-22, but never got around to making it happen. Opportunity knocks. It looks like a pretty high quality product compared to the stock part. Only one problem: we just relocated to MT, and my M&P 15-22, along with most of my other guns, is sitting in my MIL's safe 850 miles away Oh, well. At least I got a good charging handle for a killer price. I'll pick up my guns later this month and make the replacement.

You did get a great price!
I picked up a project gun recently that had extra part that went with it. One of those parts was a PT charging handle which made the whole package a sweet deal.

Picked up a Plinker Tactical charging handle for $18.50 shipped on ebay from seller bellaellen75. They're new without the package, same item I almost paid $40 @ the gun shop. Works well being a lefty.

Nope. Those are designed to move the scope forward so the ocular is in line with, or forward of, the charging handle. That way the scope doesn't interfere with access to the handle without having to add a large latch.
I was trained to shoot an AR with my nose against the charging handle. The charging handle interferes with that hold if the scope is not moved forward. Try shortening the stock to get closer to your scope. I'm 6'-3" and usually have my six position stock extended 2-4 clicks, depending on position. It's never fully extended.

Bingo.
Im guessing he uses the old school shooting stance.
Afaik, the new squared up stance is faster.

If you are going for lightweight, the Battlelink stock would defeat your previous weight reduction efforts. I love the Minimalist stock. I have it on my 15-22 rifle and will put one on my 15-22 pistol when I get around to SBR'ing it. The AR on the bottom and 15-22 on top in this picture have switched configurations. The 15-22 now has the slim handguard, Mako angled forward grip, Minimalist stock and a Bushnell TRS-25.

Looking at the state of those threads I think you could lose a few ounces if you cleaned the sticky gunk off that collects from shining the Maglight.
