Hi guys
I just bought a 15-22 sport but I haven't received yet, hopefully next week. I've been looking for a scope and so far the best candidate is the Amazon.com : UTG 3-9X32 1" BugBuster Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings : Rifle Scopes : Sports & Outdoors
The scope comes with Medium Profile Picatinny 1" rings, but I'm not sure if that's enough clearance for the scope to go over the original MAGPUL folding rear sigh. At this point I don't know if I should order a different set of rings like this Hi-Profile 1"rings of I should go with a raiser Amazon.com : Monstrum Tactical Low Profile Picatinny Riser Mount (0.5" H x 5.7" L), for Scopes and Optics : Sports & Outdoors with the rings that comes with the scope?
Does any of you have this specific setup?
Thanks ahead of time for the help

What you really need is a cantilever scope mount like the Burris PEPR. It will position the scope at the right height and far enough forward that you can access the charging handle. Very few scope set-ups will allow you to use your irons unless they are mounted at a 45 degree angle. Besides, at 3x you won't be able to see your front sight tower anyway.

Once you install the scope you will not ever need your flip up sight to be on the top rail anymore. Usually at an angled mount.

For scope ring height, usually at least hight mount for my experience since you cheek rest is already level with your top rail.

But since you already have the ring, you might want to wait for your rifle to arrive and test if medium height will suit you.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Earl.
I wouldn't over engineer the problem until you have all the pieces in hand. I just bought a Vortex crossfire 2x7x32 and a quick release scope mount that clears my Mag Pul rear sight.
I also have a green dot that I want to be able to swap with the scope easily.
The options are endless and don't break the bank!
Gunmag Warehouse has cheap Mags.

I have a Bushnell 2-7 scope on mine with this single piece mount from amazon: [ame="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QITM3WK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com : CCOP High Profile AR-ArmourTac Rifle Scope Mount Rings for Picatinny Rail, 1-Inch, Black : Sports & Outdoors[/ame]

Nice mount. It clears my Magpul flip sites perfectly. And it's pretty inexpensive.

This is what a UTG Bugbuster 3-9X32 mounted on a S&W MP 15-22 looks like, because that's my rifle. I have it mounted on a UTG Low Profile Riser w/13 slots, it's about 1/2" high. It works perfect with the rings that came with the scope. I have a NcStar VISM Green Laser mounted on the top rail and the scope clears it with no problem. You might also check out on Amazon these other two compact UTG scopes. They have a 3-12x44 for $106 and a 4-16x44 for $126. I guess I went a little overboard with accessories.

Looks Great

John,
that's a great looking rifle, man. I'm an accessory fan, so as long as you can carry it around for longer than half an hour without complaining about the weight, more power to you!

Thats the route I would go. The PEPR will allow you to clear the MBUs with no problem.
