Hi,
Just ordered Honey an MOE from my LGS, so I should know for sure in a few days. Any source for the rumor?
Cheers

I watched a youtube video the other day from English Shooting where the guy said he swapped his rotating safety to a cross bolt safety. I have messaged them but as yet not sure where you get them.
The mention of it is on this video at 9.55

Fundamentally altering the safety kinda defeats the purpose of having a 15-22 as a trainer for an AR-15, if that's your thing.

Lol, I'll stay with my BAD *** switch thank you very much...sure pushing a button may be easier but nowhere near as satisfying. As far as the video goes....well too much in the way of tan pants for my liking.

Do the AR type rifles we have in UK not fire real 5.56/.223 rounds then ?
Just curious as my Southern Gun Lever Release is definitely not something I would want to be on the muzzle end of.
I know it's not truly Semi Auto, but the rounds are just as deadly as from a Semi Auto.
Lever Release or even a Straight Pull, god forbid they become the only option available still shoot "real" bullets.
Rob.

I don't even think it would be quicker/easier than the standard 90 degree throw lever as if its in the same position you would need to have your hand at a really awkward angle to put it on.
Also for multigun comps (or at least the ones i do, you have to put the safety on the gun before you're allowed to put it down and you'd need to do that either by completely taking your strong hand off the gun or by using your weak hand
Each to their own i suppose but as the reason given for doing it in the video is faster/easier manipulations i don't get it

Could this be an attempt to make it more similar to the SA-80/L85's safety, for those who are accustomed to it?

Doubt it, safety is in a completely different place on that system, so would be a pointless attempt to mimic that, oh and its rubbish too!!!!
I have been using THAT particular system since 1987 and seen it through all its fixes and fiddles.

Yes Rob, by real I meant a true semi auto AR without charging handles & levers. I've shot all 3 in my time and I know what I prefer. But we are not to be trusted with them here in the UK.
Apparently the do make a push button safety see link.
