M&P 15-22 hunting
How’s it going everyone I know the 15-22 is a great for plinking but has anyone been hunting with it I’ve taken out countless cottontail and jackrabbits with mine not the most accurate after about 75ish yards would definitely like to hear about anyone else’s experience with it as a small game hunting weapon

Fixed it for those of us that still use proper writing grammar.

Atta boy....
I Just use mine for plinking/target shooting. I have other rimfires that I use that are more suitable for hunting small game.

Don’t think anyone on the internet cares about grammar they obviously know what’s being said

Lol. Your sentence would receive a big fat F were it graded on structure.

Killed hundreds of dillos and dozens of skunks with my 15-22. The past 2 months alone, approx 60-70 dillos and 10-12 skunks. All between 9pm / 5am local (central). Gets very old. Have multiple cellular game cameras to alert me to their presence.

The only good armadillo is a dead one.
I use a little 10/22. I have a non S&W 22 AR, but the 10/22 seems quieter.

Living in the northeast I have no experience with armadillos. Why do people shoot them? Are they destructive in some way?

If you were going to use proper grammar, you would have used ‘who’ instead of ‘that’.

You are very fortunate to not have them. Can be extremely destructive. For example, approx 2 weeks ago, on 2 consecutive nights/mornings, I had approx mid-400s digs followed by around 500 digs. The norm is anywhere from 10/20 to 100. The digs range in size from ping pong ball to tennis ball. These digs are in my immediate yard (large yard but ....). Most folks believe it's due to an abundance of grub worms. I have little to no grubs. They also like red worms, earth worms, fire ants, etc. I have zillions of earth worms (good soil).
I currently have 6 cellular game-cameras deployed for them. I get the pic on a phone app, grab the gun and go for the kill. Gets very, very old but the alternative is unacceptable. Sometimes I might go 2 years without incident. It's environmental for sure due mostly (imo) to their being squeezed out by construction, logging, etc.
99% of my engagements are with a mounted visible laser. Gun has a small Venom red dot but rarely used. Mostly between 11pm - 5 am. Before the cameras and when I was being hit, Staring at around 9pm or so, I'd go out about every 20 minutes or so. This would last til 1-2am. Just couldn't stay up that long anymore as my normal wake up time is 5am. Did that for years.
So yeah, armadillos suck.

Nice 15-22 photos.
