I've had my 15-22 for several months. Bought from a buddy. Don't know how many rounds have been put through it. Having problems with accuracy. Tried the red dot and was all over the paper. Took that off and installed a regular scope. If I just touch the gun with my thumb and index finger I can get it to drill holes. But if I lean my cheek on the stock I'm back to being all over the paper. Wanted to see if the any one has noticed play between upper and lower. Mine has some.
In all my years I've seen but 1 AR / AR-style weapon have zero slop between rcvrs. I own it. Self-assembled and no doubt just dumb luck. Regardless, I've never seen the slop, when gun is locked in to shoulder, have any impact on accuracy.
Thank you for the reply. I think I've narrowed it down to loose barrel nut looking for the tools I need. Shot it this evening from sand bags instead of a vice and it was better but when I removed the rubber piece from between the handguard and barrel it was back to being all over the target
