Default 8 inch barrel

Hello all,

I'm new here and the search function doesnt seem to work on my mobile so I figure I'd ask. I'm waiting to get my passport and as soon as i do I'm going to apply for an sbr for my 15-22. Do they sell complete uppers with the 8in barrel? Or will I have to take the barrel off my upper and install a new one? If so what would I look for as far barrel threading.

You'll probably have to have your existing barrel cut to 8" and threaded 1/2x28.

Thank you for your input. That's a little disappointing being the only option. I love this thing and so does my wife. I guess I'll wait a bit longer to see how I feel.

My opinion only, but I wouldn't put a $200 stamp into a plastic S&W 15/22.

I'd buy a standard AR lower set up for 556, and buy a dedicated 22LR upper.

CMMG made a lot of different size 22 uppers. Been a while so I'm not sure what they have now days.

Bought a 4" 22 upper from them years ago. It is most quiet suppressed.
