Default Performance Centre Magazine Glitch

Hi there,

I have recently traded in my 1522 (worked flawlessly) for a new performance centre model and apart from the barrel finish being scratched, straight out of the box, i've noticed that I cannot simply push the magazine into the housing and get it to hold without depressing the magazine release catch beforehand.

The magazine holds perfectly, with the usual wobble, and drops when the release button is pressed, it just cant be pushed in until "click".

Could this just be because the release catch springs are new or is there something I can adjust. UK based so I cant be sending it back very easily.

Any help appreciated folks

All new guns need to “break in”.

Make sure it’s clean and just play with it and shoot it lots before making any decisions.

Nope, nope, nope.

Hey admins. While checking to make sure I'm not butt-hurting anyone, remove that NRA garbage from my "credes". No way, no how am I a member. Should be Navy and Army. Gracias.

Use a bit more force. Seating the magazine with the bolt closed takes more force than when the bolt is open. This is normal. You're not going to break it by slamming it home with a bit of vigor.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't think it has anything to do with the bolt being closed, it's more because the magazine latch is too far in. If you slightly depress the release button as you offer up the magazine into the housing it flies in. Maybe it'll loosen with time...
