MBUS rear sight on 15-22
I'm not sure what I should be seeing through the rear sight with the small aperature. I'm seeing three little bubbles, and the windage knob doesn't move them. The top and bottom of the aperature seem to be divided by a line, so the front sight appears split in the middle. What should I be seeing? May have to get a red dot sooner than I planned. Not much info in the owner's manual on sights.

Go to Youtube and search: MBUS sight picture. There's a couple to choose from.

Picture of what you're seeing would be quite helpful.

This is the 811034 model with MOE front and rear sights. I'm not wearing my corrective lenses for shooting, so it may be an eyesight problem. I'm used to semi-buckhorn/post sights on my other rifles, so I'm not sure how these are supposed to look. I just checked out some of the YouTube sites on MBUS rear sights so I have a better idea than I had, but the little bubbles I was seeing may have been moisture on my eyelashes. There is nothing in the aperature itself.

Tears in the lashes are a common occurance when you purchase a new 15-22 and get to shoot it the first few times. Nothing wrong with your MBUS's, just joy from shooting a great rifle. If it keeps up buy a Bushnell TRS 25 red dot for targeting and look on Cheaper Than Dirt for their ammo prices. That will take the joy right out of you and hopefully won't make you cry for another reason. Happy shooting!

Agreed. You can do better than CTD on Armslist. I was just saying that looking at their ammo prices would take away his tears of joy (cuz their prices are crazy high).
