Where to Buy M&P 9 Sear Housing
Tried to buy a new sear housing from S&W today part # 390900000 and was told it is factory installed only. Brownells sells sear housings, but they have the mag safety, and my gun does not have that feature. Anyone know where to get the housing without it?
I dont really want to send in my gun to have a new one installed.
thanks

Just curious, why do you need to replace the whole block? Something major wear/fail?

Wear... Lots of rounds, and I am going to be getting a 9L upper for it soon, so when I switch over, doing new blocks.

Wow, good for you!
Did you try Dan Burwell?
You might also ask on his m-pforum

They're out of stock. The factory has now made sear housings a restricted part so Brownells is unlikely to have them in the future.

Midway doesn't currently have sear blocks listed.

Smith & Wesson told me the same thing elrodcod is saying. Your only shot at getting a new sear assembly is to send it to S&W for service. If the sear is worn, look at Apex Tactical's new heat treated sear. I installed the sears and Apex's striker block in my M&Ps and it's a big improvement in trigger pull.
You can remove the trigger disconnect with a spring from Speed Shooters Specialties, if you can snag a new assembly with the disconnect. Or you could use the spring from your current assembly.
