M&P 22 Pistol
I saw on another forum that S&W is coming out with a 22 pistol patterned after the fullsize M&P 9. I'll bet it's announced at next months Shot Show. S&W keeps bringing cool new guns to market.

After doing a little research I see some online shops already have these on their sites although they're not out yet. Bud's has them listed for $364.00 SKU 122000

Will it be good for IPSC training?
I've gotten into IPSC shooting over the past year and shoot an M&P FS 9mm in "production" class. Will this .22 version serve me well as a training aid for actual competition with my 9mm?

The more important question..... Can I easily suppress this pistol just like my Walther P22 or a GSG 1911 clones? I have a Walther P22 and a Gemtech Outback II and I would love to have a fullsize clone of my M&P 45.

Does anyone know if the rear site dovetail on the M&P 22 is the same size as the M&P 9mm?

I held 2 of 'em.....
in my hand at a Louisville, KY show, 2 weeks ago. They have a good feel to 'em. $340 ea. Had the money, no IN. dealer to get it across the state line. I think they will suppress very nicely, didn't pay much attention to the rear sight.
