Gosh, I don't remember the name of the guy or his company, however, if you attended the gun show back in April of this year at the "Rock" in Novi, this guy's booth was in the far left corner of the exhibition room. I guess I was so flushed with excitement having just purchased my 40c, I don't remember much after that.

it was most likely NTAC holsters, John makes a good substitute but nothing compares to a true Raven

I just polished the exposed chamber part of the bbl with some 2000 grit sandpaper. The same with just the tip of the guide rod. 1 part boredom + 1 part sandpaper.

I did mine that way but after a couple hundred rounds it got hot enough to smear the crayon so I had to remove it.

Can anyone fill me in on how to fill in the lettering? I have tried multiple times to search and have failed... probably not using the right search words!
Thanks,

OK here are my contributions to the thread. Pardon the poor quality of the photos but I'm no artist with the camera.
This first one is my FS 40 Pro Series w/ an Insight rail light. It is my nightstand weapon.
This one is my personal carry weapon. As you can see I had a High Viz front sight installed.
BTW, my issue weapon is also an M&P (40 FS). I had my annual qualifications last week and scored 100 with it.

Looks mostly cosmetic, but probably would help when pulling the slide back in a heated situation? I think it looks pretty nice actually

Very nice weapon I really like the stippling job and the side slide serrations. No offence meant here at all but I personally would have not done the serrations on the top of the slide myself it's a little to much for my taste. But all anyone can realy say is that's a sweet M&P. The quality of the work looks great making the gun one of a kind.

The top is my M&P 45, the bottom is the M&P pro 9mm. I got the brown backstrap so I could tell them apart. Plus, I think it looks kool.

Thanks Bill,
The top serrations are for one hand racking on any surface. Design intent was to grab on a pants leg but also pretty much anything else. It grabs and allows you to manipulate the slide. It was refinished in the exact same finish the factory uses too. You can also you the rear sight to rack but it is a little more fine motor to line it up with your belt or whatever.
The side front serrations are to aid "press checking" to ensure state of load.

Very nice, it's mean looking for sure. I'm finding our guns are like a custom chopper, we build them to our taste not others. It nice to get a little prop when someone likes it, really not any room for a negative comment when it doesn't suit someone else's taste.. Works for me..
