My new PC 9L with RM08G
Talon Grips are here tomorrow, and I will be adding the Apex RAM, (reset is almost undetectable now) and either an aluminum trigger or the whole kit.

I would suggest adding the whole Apex flat faced trigger kit, and RAM…pretty big difference. You might want to leave the USB and spring oem to keep the trigger pull 3+. The Apex kit with USB and spring dropped my trigger pull to an average of 2.2 lbs, which I like, but I use mine as fun gun exclusively.
Anyhow, you have a nice gun and I hope you have fun with it.

Thanks for the input. I'm leaning toward the whole kit...kind of a, while I have it apart, thinking. The Full Performance Center trigger, is pretty clean crisp and light, But everything I read says the Apex is even better (including what you wrote I'm pretty sure this will be strictly a range gun, maybe some local competition for old novices if that exists, and I could find it, and have the time (lots of ifs).

This may sound crazy but I think I like the action now more than my "plane Jane" s&w1911.
My only regret is not doing it earlier, now I feel like I have to install it on my M&Ps.

Nice. I ordered the full Apex kit for my M&P PC ported 9 and can't wait. Already have the RAM kit and just want more. Also ordered Apex kits for my Glock 17L and PPQ Match.

My EDC pride and joy... I've got a M&P9 FS and a Shield 45 (also in the carry rotation), but nothing beats the M&P 45 Compact for me overall. She's got the Apex DCAEK and polymer trigger and she shoots and carries like a dream!

I thought I'd add another picture after a few more additions. I did go with the Apex full kit, I did everything except the striker block itself mine from the Performance center was actually a nicer SB. I idid use the Apex spring. I love the feel of this trigger, just an ounce or 2 over 4lbs and very smooth.
I already posted a thread with these pics, but since I use this thread a lot for inspiration, I thought I would share here as well.

My M&P family
These are my two. A full size 9mm and my Shield 9mm. Both have the Tac-Rack slide plate from Wrightshooting.com and both stipple jobs were done by Stippgrips.com both companies are awesome and the Shield just got its Freedom edition Apex trigger and duty/carry package installed. The Shield is also outfitted with a Hyve +2 mag extension. http://smith-wessonforum.com/attachm...1&d=1483216961

My 2 Pro's, both with APEX AEK replacement triggers.
Wilson FO and 10-8 rear on the 5".
Stock sights on the 4.25" for now.
Thinking of getting the APEX forward set sear kit for the 5".

They are popular enough to have a aftermarket parts following.

It seems people love of hate them.
A few or the people I've heard that hate them have had issues with them and instead of returning them to S&W for repair they piss and moan about how bad they are.
I like mine, haven't shot/carried it enough to fall in love yet.

It would seem this guy likes them. I respect his opinion since he doesn't just say what he thinks, he proves it.

My first plastic pistol was a Glock 17. Never enjoyed shooting it, don't know why I still have it, it just sits in my gun safe. And it put me off polymer pistols. That changed when I started researching the offerings of S&W with their M&P's. It led me to decide on a Performance Center 40L CORE .
First rounds through it last weekend. Still haven't decided on the optics, waiting to see if Luepold ever comes through with the mounting plate to mount the Delta Point Pro.

The barrel and slide are ported pushing the gas up and reducing muzzle rise it helps on follow up shots. There is an upgraded trigger that is really smooth also so both of them together gave me tighter groups first clip out of the box. I liked the Shields trigger before but the PC version kind of ruined the original trigger.

Walked into my LGS to check out the 2.0s and walked out with one! Almost walked out with an FDE Glock 19 too but I passed on it for now. Hopefully I'll get to the range this week some time. Do these 2.0s have the same sights as the 1.0s? Can I order Trijicon HD meant for the 1.0 and will they fit the 2.0?
