Default Handled the new M&P 22 today

Got a chance to handle a M&P 22 at my distributors vender show. It's not a 22 conversion kit by any means, more of a P22 dressed up as a M&P. Full size frame with what feels like the medium grip, all molded one piece. Barrel locks in receiver block with a barrel nut on the end like the P22, So I guess adding a longer barrel and comp/surpresser wouldn't be much problem. Quite a bit lighter than a M&P but the trigger felt fairly close. S&W rep says late spring, but not with much confidence.

Do you recall if it had a magazine disconnect (i.e. trigger won't function without mag in place)? Or did it have a printed warning on the slide stating that pistol may fire without magazine inserted?

I ask because I'm from Massachusetts.

Not sure about the mag disconnect, but I'd bet it does as the P22 has one also.
