Default Just installed APEX comp kit

OMFG!!!! What a difference. Smooth. Did not install the lighter trigger springs.... yet. Going to shoot it tomorrow. Betting on "low, left" is a thing of the past, or hopefully less. Even the wife noticed the change.

Let you know how it turns out.

Well worth it. Low left is now just low. Hvae to adjust my sight picture. Did that and put 5 inside the 10 ring at 7yds within 4 sec. For me, that's incredible. It's like a different gun. I'm getting used to it all over again but in a good way

They are great. Did you get the RAM as well?

Gives you a positive reset (like a Glock Trigger).

What does all of this cost & where can you get it/them? Can the average gun guy do the work himself, or does it require a Gunsmith?

There are many ways to skin this cat. First, there are two "kits." These are the competition and DCAEK (CCW/LE). The comp kit runs about $100 and the DCAEK is $89. The RAM is $21.

Now if you don't want to spend that much money, you can get JUST the Sear for $39.95 and it will make a big difference.

We recommend to our customers that that they go with the DCAEK and RAM (if possible as it does not work in all guns) along with a polishing of certain components (Sear, trigger bar, striker, striker block).

We are an Apex Tactical Distributor and certified M&P armorer and offer installation services if interested.

Thanks, C4IGrant. I'm new to handguns and only have 400 rounds thru my M&P9. I'll keep shooting it for now, but can see making some mods down the road.

You are welcome.

My advice to new shooters is to run the M&P bone stock and learn what you like and don't like.

ESM I also had only about 400 rounds thru. I just couldn't get over the friction (grit) in the pull. With the kit it's slick as ice. Still long but way smoother. The pull is about 4lbs+ with the stock trigger springs. both kits according to Apex are the same with the exception of the trigger springs. I went with the Comp kit and now can go lighter if I feel the need. I plan on getting into shooting IPDA. 1st one this Sat. hopefully.

I am also new to shooting handguns. So take this info with a grain of salt. But I'm learning fast.

I put the DCAEK kit in all of my M&P's (45L, 40, and 9c) and all I can say is APEX rocks. I also did the RAM in the 9 and the 40. I only wish they had a RAM for the 45.
