hey gunners i have 357sig just got my 40cal barrel
i shot 200 rounds through her yesterday40cal perfect no fte
anyway she naturally got hot if i was to shoot say 3 or 4 hundread rounds should i take a break and let her cool down or dosent it matter how hot she gets?

I've seen pistols in 100+ heat at competitions get so hot you could use the barrel for a branding iron.
The shooters give out from the heat before the guns do.
I use Brownells action grease to keep lube in the gun and not running down my wrist in the heat.

thanks im pround to say i shot over 600rounds with out 1 problem this gun is perfect for me

I just logged on to post about over heating too. I position my left thumb on the slide release lever to support the gun like you see many shooters doing these days. I ran a couple hundred rounds through my M&P Pro 9 a couple days ago and the slide release lever got too hot to touch. I am sure the heat is radiating from the steel chassis. I don't know how the competition guys deal with it. The Glock 34 has no take down lever.
