Default Standard M&P "L." or Pro Series?

I have the standard M&P 40 with C.T. laser grips. I know that the the difference between it and the L and Pro series is the trigger and the sights but what exactly is the difference. Is the trigger pull lighter, shorter, more smooth, crisp or all of the above? And exactly what sights are on the L & Pro Series?
