Confidence level for M&P45
I am impressed by how accurate this pistol is out of the box. I have had it for the last 3 weeks and there are only about 400 rds that have gone thru it.
Based on my experiences so far, my confidence level for this pistol is high and I can clearly see it hitting anything I want within 7 yds. I am sure it can do even better at longer distances but I will have to acquire those skills.
As of now, 7yrds stats are pretty satisfying ... all 9 shots were within the 10 ring. And, I was using USAammo ammunition.

I got my M&P45 and was immediately able to shoot tighter groups at 7yds than I could with my SW40VE. Added the Apex DCAEK and things only got better!

Although it had a heavier trigger NIB than either my SW1911SC or my Colt XSE Government, my M&P 45 easily equaled both when it came to practical accuracy from 3-50 yards. It became even easier as the trigger lightened up and smoothed out from use, too.
Precision shots onto the head of a standard training/qual silhouette target out at 35-40 yards is certainly doable with some finesse during the trigger press, using a stable grip and good follow-through on sighting (2-handed/unsupported/standing).
I'd think it's likely capable of even better if it were in the hands of a dedicated target-shooter.

I have an M&P 45 with several hundred rounds through it now. Totally reliable. Very pleased with the accuracy, and have no complaints with the trigger. But then, I had a Browning HP with the magazine safety for several years, and that tends to get you used to a poor trigger.

I love my 45c accurate and light compared to a steel 1911. Apex USB and sear.
It's not the coolest 45 I've owned, but it is one of the best. Easy to carry and shoot. I really appreciate a 4" bbl on a compact 45. I put a HiViz front sight on it and enjoy the sight also. No external safeties, no decocker shoots like a revolver, but easier to load.

Time to save up some money, buy a case or two ammo, and take a professional three-day "basic tactical pistol" course to learn how to handle this pistol in a gunfight. I'm convinced these are more about gun handling than X-ring accuracy. Shooting 10's slow fire might be satisfying, but the ability to place shots "in the black" accurately in a second or two out of the holster is more important.
A clover-leaf group means you can shoot faster.

I shoot a number of 1911's and a M&P9Pro. I recently purchsed a full size M&P45 and have been impressed by both it's reliability and accuracy. Flawless functioning with reloads of 185 gr. LSWC, 185 to 230 gr plated, 185 and 230 gr. JHP and 230 gr. FMJ. As an aside all shot nice tight ten shot groups at 50 ft. 1 1/4 to 2 inches in diameter. The only minus has been the trigger but I will be instaling an Apex sear soon.

You're right ... time to invest in myself. Like everything else, though, good courses such as LFI classes are quite pricey.

Yes, my SKU: 109307 mid size shoots fine but the trigger on it and my M&P40 are gritty, mushy, indistinct. These pistols were
bought new a year or 2 ago. Interestingly my M&P9 I bought
last week has an excellent trigger. Go figure.
