They have a good price on an M&P9c with the thumb safety, but. . . they look sketchy.

Anyone know anything about them?

Why bother with them? Police Express Suply has them available for $398, free shipping. I just ordered one on Monday and it will be here today. That's first responder pricing, and any military service qualifies.

Oh?

Do you have a link or a contact number?

If so I'll place my order today.

BTW, go Army!

If you're talking about OMB Express, the $398.00 is their first responder price but, they don't have any in stock. Their website shows them to be on back order.

866-990-1990. Mitch is the gun guy.

This is the one I just got:

Express Police Supply - Smith & Wesson M&P9C 3.5" Night Sights Non Magazine Safety First Responder Price

Here's without the night sights:
Express Police Supply - Smith & Wesson M&P9C 3.5" Fixed Sights Non Magazine Safety First Responder Price

Here's the 9c with thumb safety:
Express Police Supply - Smith & Wesson S&W M&P9C Fixed Sights Non Magazine Safety with Thumb Safety First Responder Price

The website can be a bit funky, I think they do too much business to keep up with it. I usually order online then call Mitch.
Once they had 'Everything 20% off!' and the guns were ringing up at 20% off too! I put a couple in my basket and called to confirm and Mitch said no... That's an error.... So if you can get past their website errors sometimes, they seem to be pretty good otherwise.

BTW, free shipping on anything over $189 right now I think. That changes, sometimes it's anything over $80 or so... Anyway the invoice they emailed me showed shipping, I called and of course it wouldn't be charged... So they do have some website issues...

Bottom line? They do a ton of business and are easy to work with, every gun I have bought has been perfect, and cheaper than I can find anywhere else.

Yeah, OMB is now Express Police. Any military gets the responder price, and if you can wait, put in on order.

I ordered the night sight gun for an extra $57. I paid $70 for my other night sights and still have to have them put on, so I figured the extra $57 was worth it, plus it's in stock right now!

If I can't find one with the thumb safety, can I install a safety myself?

Just called to check availability for the model I wanted, 90 day back order. Drat.

I found it locally, but they want $488 + tax for it. Blah.

Default M&P9c

Man it's tough to find anybody that has any M&P9c's in stock. I'm going to a gun show here in New Orleans this weekend to "look around" at stuff but I just don't want to have to pay the darn sales tax.

If you know of a place on line that actually seems to have them in stock let US know... Thanks

Found a couple:

Bud's Gun Shop has them available, with thumb safety:
Normal Sights with Thumb Safety $478.00 *
another:
i Dot with Thumb Safety $454.00 *

Bud's prices are the discounted cash price. It's more when paying online.

Cheaper than Dirt has them, too:
Normal Sights with Thumb Safety - $467.50

Problem is, with shipping and the FFL fee from my local dealer, it ends up being the same as if I walked in and bought the one in the case. So no real benefit for me to buy online.

Anyone else have a better deal?

Locally the price is $489 + 34.23 tax = 523.23

Default M&P 9c

Thanks for the info, I did see those yesterday but I was looking for one with a mag safety. (or one without any safety). I would rather the mag though. I don't want to have to do the mod removing the thumb safety but will if I have to. There is already a couple mods I have in mind for the weapon.

Wink

Darth:

Generally speaking, you can't put a thumb safety on a gun that doesn't already have one.

There are two sear block assemblies, and the one without the thumb safety is usually the one that accepts a Hilary Lock, which eats up the space for the necessary hardware for a thumb safety.

(The thumb safety models won't accept a Hilary Lock.)

AFAIK, it's hard to find the blocks that will accept a thumb safety, and buying a gun that already has one can be a problem - most people find that they're pretty useless unless you're already deep into thumb safeties (I.e., a 1911 guy like me ).

I cheated.... I wanted a thumb safety on my 40C, but not badly enough to go nuts if I didn't find one. Took what I could get.... Then a chance came up to grab a 9C, and it had a thumb safety. Swapped the grip section, so the 40C slide & barrel is on top, and the 9C grip (with thumb safety) is on the bottom.... Kind of an expensive solution, but I wanted the 9C anyway, and didn't really care about a thumb safety on it.

Regards,
