Default Can't find an M&P45c

I want to compare the M&P45c to the M&P40c in terms of overall size but no gunstores in my area have an M&P45c in stock.
Is it bigger than the 40c or 9c?
Length, width, height?

As would be expected, the bigger the caliber the bigger the gun. It definitely isn't as "compact" as the 9 or 40, but for a major caliber handgun it is definitely in its own compact realm. I don't own one, but it is on my short list for the near future.......

I have one.

It is slightly wider, but not by much.

In a holster like a crossbreed it is very comfortable to carry

To me the M&P45c is the perfect size and just feels good in hand. If you get a chance to handle one I'd like to hear what you think of it. My dealer told me he hasn't had any 45 caliber M&Ps since February. When asked why the shortage he told me S&W has some huge contracts for the 9mm and 40 models.
I own several M&Ps but if I had to narrow it down to just one, the 45c would be my choice.

I have a 45c and it is almost identical in size to a Glock 23. Good holster and belt and it carries well. Mine is very accurate and dependable.

I use a Blade Tech IWB and a Galco Speedmaster, great way to carry a 45. Easy to conceal with good leather.

Carry 200gr Gold Dots.

The 45C is the same length as the 45 Mid Size if your LGS has that model. Otherwise, the 45C is about 1/2 in longer and about 1/4 taller. The width difference is only about 0.10 in. I hope that helps you visualize it better. I have both and like them but consider them as different roles of CC gun. The 9/357/40 Compacts are more concealable that the 45 Compact, but it has a bigger grip, longer sight radius and 9 rounds of .45 while still being carry sized.

I recetly bought a S&W 45c and love it. This comes pretty hard for an old 1911 guy that swore he'd never carry a weapon without a hammer. I carry it in a Fobus horizontal load holster with the thumb break. Took a little getting used to putting the gun in the holster but the draw is really nice. I live in Montana where people carrying a firearm is the norm but still try to have it concealed in town. The holster rides high and with most jackets and vests it covers well. I'd recommend it to anyone for concealed carry.
