Default M&P 9mm slide stop
I've had my M&P for a little over a year now and was shooting on Fri. The ouside lever on the left side broke off. The slide stop still works though.

Anyone else have this problem?

It's a known problem. Call S&W they will send you a new one.

They wouldn't send me a new one. Required factory install. Had to send it in.

So slide lock breaks off ? Is this limited to 9m or all models are affected ?

My M&P40 is at the factory for the same issue. Right side tab broke off at range while shooting...and I'm a right handed shooter. I never touch the slide stop on the right side. Called Smith up and had a email with the FEDEX label in 24 hours.

My next order to SSS will include a slide stop for a spare. If you have ever replaced a trigger spring then a slide stop is duck zuppa.

Well, just as a reminder boys, it's a slide lock not a slide release.
