Default New M&P 40 - First Impressions

Hi all. I haven't been around much. My only other S&W until yesterday was a MP 15-22. I've been looking at the M&P line of pistols but never saw one in person. I wanted a USA made shootin' iron so I just took the plunge after reading all the positive comments here. I ordered the Carry and Range Kit from Impact Guns online. Mine didn't come with a mag disconnect, an internal lock, or a thumb safety. It's just the way I wanted it.

I'm sooooooo glad I did. I love the feel of this gun. Great balance; nice grip; nice fit and finish. i love that it weighs a lot less than my XDM 40 4.5 (which is a great shooting gun in it's own right). Hopefully I'll get out Monday to shoot 'er.

Stay safe,

Ed

the trigger might not excite you as much, but just keep in mind it does take time to break it in.
