I really love my 45c since I received it almost 2 weeks ago. Has factory iron sights. After hemming and hawing about night sights and/or laser (my 9c has Trijicon night sights), I decided to put a compact laser (
Laserlyte V3) on the rail. Cost was $84. I wear contacts so I needed something that would help me acquire a target fast if awoken during sleep (I hope that day never arrives).
Anyway, I think what I bought works really well as far as lasers go. Because it's a compact unit, I am able to place it close to the front of the gun. This leaves plenty of room between the laser and the trigger guard for my left hand - I am right handed, and wrap my left fingers across the trigger guard.
Turning on/off the laser is simple... I just move my left index finger towards the front of the gun, and my finger engages one of the two (2) on/off buttons. Been training with it today. Turning the laser on/off is becoming second nature.
Just sharing in case anyone else is considering one. As a side note, I won't become dependent on the laser... but I will use it for training, and for nighttime defense.
