M&P9c: What hangs on your accessory rail?
This is my first gun with a rail so I have no existing accessories to try out on it. I'm guessing those who want a laser will go for a CT or other grip- or frame-mounted laser. Therefore I would think most people who hang something on their rail are hanging a light. If so, which models are popular? Pics would be great if you have them. Honestly for me a rail is not likely to see much use on a compact/carry gun (I carry either pocket or IWB) but since it's my first gun with a rail I want to at least look into the options.
I have thought about removing it. Has anyone done that with good results? Since the frame is steel re-inforced, is there steel within the rail? I think slimming and contouring that portion of the dust cover would improve appearance and also remove or at least reduce a contact point, perhaps improving comfort especially for those who carry IWB.

Streamlight TLR-3 when in the bedside table. Other than the one with Smith's name on it, it was the only light that would fit when I bought the gun.

M&P9c: What hangs on your accessory rail?
I don't own a 9c, but I do own an M&P45 FS, and I also use a TLR-3, and love it.

I have a Viridian C5L that will be here either tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll see if I can snap a few pictures after it gets here.

I really like those! Way out of my "I'm a new daddy" budget haha. The new Streamlight tlr-4 110 lumen compact light and laser combo comes out. Picking that bad boy up.

Nothing on mine. I only use hand held lights and Laser Grips.

I agree with mbnatt, nothing. I'll let the flash of my first round illuminate my target.

Viridian C5L Gun Laser Sights | Viridian Green Laser Gun Sights
Fits on all my handguns that have rails, but I think it looks best on the M&P 40c. They (actually Blackhawk, under the Tacloc name) also make a retention holster for it, as well as for the C5l with other brand model semi automatics. Prices are lower on Amazon and Opticsplanet.
Personally, I don't care for rail accessories that protrude beyond the barrel, although if you want a very high powered tactical light, say above 140 lumens, it may be unavoidable.

Nothing on mine, I prefer hand held lights and don't use lasers for anything other than dry fire trigger control feedback.

If you want the finest combo green laser&LED light look into the compact Viridian C5L.
It will fit flush on the 9&40c.
You will want to keep a few batteries around. Their website has pics.
I wanted a one item that does both...just in case I didn't have a flashlight which isnt likely but could happen. It is easily removed and could go on two other items with rails. I could even put it on my AR.
