lasers for 9c
Since I can't get laser grips for my 9c, what other options are there? Are any of the rail-mounted lasers worth buying? I want to use them as a training tool mostly.

I would say the Viridian, but for a training laser I wouldn't spend that much. You could look into the Lasermax Micro, but I don't know anything about that laser.

The Viridian looks great, but it's so expensive for a light with only a 1 year warranty. I'm considering the new Streamlight TLR 4; it looks awesome! Might have a problem finding holsters for it, though. The Micro looks good, too.....still researching....

Can't tell you well these work:
Crimson Trace CMR-201 Rail Master
because it won't get here until Wednesday. Just ordered it from Amazon and will probably put it to use on Friday

Wow, just wow I am gonna get one of those I can put just one of them on any/all my pistols at night and then without my glasses in the dark I can get a great target picture. I have the grips for my M&P9 but do not use them I want to learn how to become more proficient with the iron sights, but you can not see your sights at night especially if like me you need glasses to see them with.

Which one? The TLR 4 or the Crimson Trace?

Veridian told me they will stand behind their product well beyond a year. I think it's a solid build and I've had no issues with my C5L, but it would be nice to have it in writing.

The crimson trace at 149 bucks and fits either a picatinny or weaver rail, so you take them off one pistol or rifle and put them on another!

Has anyone used the CT laser grips on a 9c? Are they installed like a backstrap, and do they make the grip much larger?

The only problem with the CT Laser Grip is that it comes in one size. Yes, it installs just like a backstrap. It is somewhere around a size medium. If you don't normally run a medium then it might not be for you. I personally run the TLR-2 on my carry gun.

Installed the CT Railmaster CMR-201 on my 9C and really like it. Build
quality is great, very compact, ambidextrous on/off. Sight adjustment
is easy and precise. Can't say enough good things about it. Bud's has
them at a great price w/ quick delivery.

Viridian C5L. as you can see it's a near perfect fit on a compact. Green laser and a 90 lumen LED light. Handy as it can be moved to any of my Walthers, M&Ps or even an AR rail.

I'm using the medium blackstrap now, so they might work for me. Does the TLR-2 extend beyond the muzzle of a compact?

Yeah, I've got a pic of the CT CMR-201 Railmaster on my 9C and I'll see if
I can figure out how to post it to this message. I almost went for the CT
Grip Laser, but sure glad I held off. With the Railmaster, I've got a laser that
can be used either LH or RH, doesn't interfere with the manual thumb safety,
and only $106.00. For me it was a no-brainer.

I don't have thumb safeties, so no problem there. Do the CT grips equal the size of the medium blackstrap?

Plus 1 on the viridian laser..... if you plain using outside , red will wash out in sunlight make it hard to see , I couldn't be more happier with my X5l gen 2 .. down side in low light, 3 dot green night sight are useless when everything bleed together but fix your eye sight in on the light beam away from the
iron sights and your still on track
