M&P22 capacity increase?
I read on a M&P22 review that is was an easy task to increase the mag capacity of the M&P22 from 12 to 14, but of course it was my luck there was no further information. Has anyone heard of or know of how to do this. Sounds like a good idea with the shortage of these mags. Would help with the reloading on the range somewhat. Thanks

i did it on one of my 5 mags. problem is that you have to give up the load assist button to get 14 rounds in the mag. it hits the frame when you move the hole up on the follower and lengthen the slot where it slides:

Other problem is then it compresses the spring beyond its design limits and will cause early failure of the spring.
I don't think it is such a great idea.

Is it worth it?
I find it to be very easy to reload a .22 magazine so why the big deal for increasing it by 2?

I agree, two more rounds isn't worth the fooling around with the mag. I was more curious than anything. I like tinkering and when someone has a mod, it's interesting to see how it was done.

Oh, yea, what was I thinking? Sorry, I slipped a little there. More ammo is always the object. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I needed that. Could we maybe weld a couple of 12 rounders end to end? Now I feel normal again.
