I paid $459, but it wasn't as bad as it sounds.
They had the standard Shield for $399. But I knew from my Shield 45 that my old eyes needed better sights, along with a visit to the gunsmith. For the extra $50 I got the PC version with sights already upgraded.

$415 Last Summer Shield 45. I traded a Desert Baby Eagle 40cal that I bought new in 2000 (only a couple mags ran through it) Trade in $350 + $65 difference. To top it off I got the $75 rebate. I think it was a killer deal on my part

Just picked up a 9mm Shield with the thumb safety at Dunham's today, $299.99. Regular price from them was $449.99, they are having a two day sale 5/04/18 - 5/05/18. Your choice of safety or no safety. Very happy with the way it shoots

I ordered my S&W M&P Shield M2.0 9mm Manual Thumb Safety (11806)
from Palmetto State Armory on May 3, and paid $319.99. Shipping & Handling was $17.00 for a grand total $336.99. I'll pay my local FFL dealer $10 for the transfer when the gun is delivered tomorrow.

Got my 9mm Shield when they were selling them for cheap and adding the rebate it came out be be $220-ish if memory serves. Then a couple months later S&W released the 2.0 version. I've been bouncing between the Shield and P320 as my carry gun.

OTD? These are great prices. Especially for what you get. I'd get another, but 2 is plenty as it is. =)... well 2.5 actually. 2 frames, 3 slides.

Where did you buy it? I just fondled one at The Frisco (Texas) Gun Club. They were about $100.00 higher for the same gun.

Shield 9 1.0, Black, non-safety - $279 + tax, GrabAGun.com (local pickup)
Shield 9 1.0, FDE, non-safety - $329 + tax, Academy (local pickup)
Both in 2017.
I would buy a 2.0 Shield, but the Gen 1's are just fine. I may pick up a Shield 45 at some point in the future though.

Talk them down. I saw two used ones today, one standard selling for $249 and a Performance Center for $289, both were .45 and looked brand new. They could have easily sold as new.

I gave 214 plus 15 for shipping from PSA last year. The .45 ran a but more, about 279. Haven't grabbed a 2.0 yet..
Don't think the prices will ever get back down there again..

How did you get a Fde shield with no safety? Only 9mm model I have ever seen listed is with safety. I have a full size in FDE and love it. Getting ready to purchase a shield and would like the FDE for that one as will. My only concern is all the pics I've seen online make the color look a lot lighter then my full size. Could you post a pic of it?

It was/is an Academy exclusive model. https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearm...thumb-safety-0
If I can get my camera phone to work, I'll upload my own photo.

$359 OTD at SOS, with a free cauldwell magcharger. This is the integrated laser model, 2.0, with safety. I couldn't not buy it, when the laser model was the same on sale as the non laser model! I never thought I would want a laser, but this one is so tastefully done, I really like it!
