I have been converted!
Well like the title says I was a long time Glock fanboy but have been converted to the M&P. The M&P fits me better and I am more accurate with it. So I can say right now I don't even own a Glock. Besides I like a made in the USA firearm.

Congrats! i also have been converted. not 100% but 95%. i say 95% because i terribly miss my 2.5lb ghost disconnector in my glocks. and the sear kit for a M&P ....well you could buy 5 ghosts for the price of 1 sear kit haha other than that i agree.
when i got my .40c i sold my 27. Still have my G19,G23,G32,G37,G38,G21,G20 and plan to keep them :-p haha

I too started with a G19 and later bought the G26. My hands were just too small for the Glock grip and the first time I held an M&P with the small backstrap I knew that I had to make the switch. I later sold the G26, still have the G19 3rd Gen. Since I bought the M&P9c two years ago I have the BG.380, Shield and the M&P.22 to train with and $ave on ammo costs and to hold back my 9mm supply.

I to am a convert thanks to Glock knuckle. The S&W M&P feels much better to me in my hand and does not have the funky feel to the trigger that Glock does.
In 2,000 rounds my S&W has not missed a beat!

Congrats! I'm a convert too. I used to drink deeply from the Glock Kool-Aid pitcher. My two Glocks are now trading fodder for the next firearms purchase.
The Glock is a great gun, but they've been riding the same design since the 80's with little innovation between then and now. Glock doesn't respond to customer wants and needs.
I see the S&W M&P as the next step evolution of a polymer frame semi-auto handgun. Excellent ergonomics, accurate, and dependable. I also like that it's made in the U.S.A.

Before last April I had 7 Glocks and zero M&Ps...as of this April I own 1 Glock , my G21, and 3 M&Ps...and working on a 4th! I can easily see adding at least 2 more and probably a Shield, too.

Converted as well!
Always had 4-5 1911's on hand, down to one now. I tried a M&P 45 mid size a couple of years ago, but did not keep it long, it was reliable, but I did not like the trigger and I hate gun smithing a new gun. They ought to work out of the box, so I traded it. January of 2012, I bought a 9c, much better trigger, then a M&P22. Last week I sold a P7 and bought a full size 9 and a Shield. All of the 9's were born in 2012 and have good triggers and work, I am happy!

I have only one polymer based pistol left in my collection and yes its a M&P .40 which shoots like a dream. I sold my other none S&W polymer pistols and now have a nice collection started in the 2nd and3rd gen S&Ws. Looking to add a 1st gen REAL soon (maybe this week).
I have no knock onGlocks, they just don't feel right in my hands and so I haven't bought one and don't expect I ever will. I'm a smithaholic as one member put in a post.

Joining the club
I too was strictly a 1911 guy until I picked up my M&P9FS. Now I'm down to one 1911 and soon to be three M&Ps.
Really like the information on the forum.

That is almost exactly the way I started. I went in as a 1911 guy and while I love the gun it never really did it for me. I tried Glocks and I love them but they just aren't for me; I get my hands chewed up when I shoot anything other than the bigger sized Glocks like the 21 and 30 models. So I went searching and found exactly what I was looking for in the M&P.
