M&P Shield vs. 3919 vs. CS9
I am a huge fan of the S&W 3rd gen pistols, however I find myself intrigued by the new M&P Shield.
Does anyone who owns a Shield also own a 3913 or a CS9? I would love to see some pictures comparing those pistols side by side and a little subjective commentary.
Thank you.

I don't have a 3913, but I used to have a 3953 and currently have a 6946 (double stack version of 3953). I bought a Shield yesterday. It is a little bit smaller in each dimension and several ounces lighter than the 3953. The clincher though is it has a lot nicer trigger than the 3953. Field stripping is also easier.

I HAVE THE 3913 AND CS9 AND IN SS AND PREFER THEM TO THE M&P. DON'T GET ME WRONG THE M&P ARE EXCELLENT GUNS BUT I LIKE THE FEEL OF ALL METAL WHEN I AM SHOOTING. ALONG WITH THE 2 GUNS MENTIONED I ALSO HAVE THE CS40, CS45 1911, 4006 AND A FEW OTHER AND 66 27 REVOLVER. JUST NOT FOND OF POLY FRAMES. THE SHERIFFS DEPT.HERE IN CA ARE NOW USING M&P INSTEAD OF THE 92F BERETTA.
GOOD LUCK AND GOOD SHOOTING

Had a 3913 and sold it off.
Biggest turn-off was the double decocker thingy.
Was looking for a 3953/4 when the Shield came out, so I'll grab one if the LGS ever gets more.
They got one in the initial allocation - sold in 5 minutes from the package being opened.

Double decocker thingy? That doesn't sound like a terribly informed opinion.
I currently carry a 3913. I'll get a Shield when S&W adds it to the FLEO list so I can grab one cheap. For now I'm pretty happy with the 3913 though.
