I don't notice any difference in perceived sight radius. However, I will say the greatest improvement to accuracy for me is a nice trigger. I would rather have a nice trigger and factory sights if I had to choose.

I tell you its nice to have a light trigger and a safety IMO. My Bersa's trigger is so light and now I am concern about it having no safety at all since I am so used to my SHIELD.
Just for info. Do you have by any chance height measurements on your sights from the top of the slide top the top of the sight on the front and rear?? Was the kit that you got for and M&P or specifically for the SHIELD.
Thanks
Fercho

Best I could measure with my micrometer...
Front sight: 3.65 mm ( 0.1435 in.)
Rear sight: 5.80 mm ( 0.2285 in.) at it's highest point
These sights were made for a standard size M&P. (not the shield specifically)

Very sweet piece my friend!
I just had those same sights put on my m&p40. It shot better with the TFO's instantly for me. I see it did for you also. Very nice. Now I got that damn SHIELD BUG!!!
Birthdays in August. Let's see what the wife can do.

Yes, I love TFO's as they are bright in all lighting conditions. However, I would like to try out some trijicon HD's or warren tacticals on my next gun. Good luck with your Birthday pick up! I always try to slide one in for christmas and my birthday lol.

Well, James did such a good job on my shield that I sent him my new build project and he painted it in the same finish. Looks like i'll have a matching set soon. =)

Could you please post "James at XD" contact info, I would be interested in having a trigger job done on my shield. That realy gives your gun a custom, one-of-a-kind look.
Thanks,
Arthur.

I sent my shield off the 21st to have the same titanium finish and TFO's installed. Was looking around for a good example and when I saw this I ordered it right away. Looks great, can't wait to shoot it when it gets back.
I hope it's reached its destination by now. Not sure how long USPS normally takes.

How durable is this coating? I really like the way it looks. I wanna send my slide in to get the TFO's and the Titanium treatment.

Gun looks and shoots great. Just a suggestion...with TFO sights, clear epoxy is your friend. That has been the cure for those fiber optic tubes coming off.

James did a fantastic job on my M&P Shield slide. I had it blasted & beaded, and it looks awesome.
If you're looking for something to make your Shield a bit different from all the others, have James add some Bling Bling.
Can't wait to send off my full size slide for the same blasting treatment.

I decided I wanted a little more grip on the little guy, so I picked up a soldering iron from radio shack and gave stippling a try...Not the prettiest, but it definitely sticks better.

Indoor range my wife and I shoot at has ****** lighting. Any light colored slide is much easier on sight acquisition than black! (for us anyway)
