Default What sear block housing is this?

I ordered a new Sear Block Housing from Brownells to replace my old housing with the small plunger (no issues yet but I wanted to avoid any potential ones). What I got isn't what I was expecting. I have an APEX RAM installed in mine now and this one has something there already. It actually looks like a "mini-RAM" almost. I tried searching for housing pics online but got nowhere so I thought I'd ask the experts.

I have a regular M&P9c. No safeties/disconnects. The part I ordered was called "standard" and I assumed it was the correct one. Part # is 277640000and here's the link: SEAR HOUSING BLOCK ASSEMBLY, STANDARD - Brownells

Pics of my new one (still at work so can take pics of the old one later if anyone wants them)

If you are referring to the silver arm protruding toward the magazine well; then I believe that to be a magazine disconnect. Don't worry if you would like to keep your gun safety-less as it can be removed. Just search remove magazine disconnect S&W M&P on YouTube.

Edit: I actually think you were referring to what you see in the last picture, which is a thumb-safety/Hilliary lock compatible sear block housing (the newest type). Bad news is I don't believe APEX has made a RAM for this version yet and your existing RAM will not work...

I bought a newly made 40 FS in May (test fired 4/19/2012) with a new model sear housing block which appears to be the one they used in THE VTAC (not compatible w/Apex RAM). Here's an image which shows what it looks like from the ejector side. The good news is you can probably remove the Hilary lock and the mag disconnect, because I have neither. The bad news is, the current RAM doesn't work with it, but I've heard Apex is working on one that will -- I sure hope so!

Thanks for the help guys. I compared it to my original housing last night and was able to remove all of the junk from it. I reused the spring from my original housing to take up the slack from the mag disconnect. I then put my RAM back in, my Apex sear, & the larger Apex plunger spring. My original ejector fit back in as well so I guess it's not the newest housing (which is great).
