What specific M&P model holster works with M&P 22?

Just picked up a M&P 22 today.

I would like to get an owb paddle/belt holster for it like my Safariland ALS I have for my Glock 23 for the range, but I'm unsure what model M&P the 22 version matches up with. Can anyone confirm what M&P the 22 is most like for me?

I have the M&P.22. Love the gun....I made two different holsters...OWB, and IWB. Never found a pre-made that suited me.
 
From what I have been able to determine, the M&P 22 slide is wider than the M&P 9 and 40. It is almost identical in size to the M&P 45. This may or may not make a difference, depending how close or tightly the holster is fitted for the gun

I would look for a holster configured for the M&P 45 with thumb safety.

With respect to the Safariland ALS Paddle Holster, the one that fits the full size MP45 with 4" barrel is model #6378-519-411 for the right hand model in black.

Gee, that's a good looking holster! Maybe I should get one for my M&P22.

I can tell you that the Safariland ALS for the 9/40 isn't to good with the M&P 22. That is very unfortunate because I love the ALS holsters but they require practice to smoothly draw under stress. I wish S&W would rethink the slide dimensions on the otherwise excellent little M&P 22. It needs to be exactly the same dimensions as the 9/40.

I wonder if an ALS holster would expand to fit if you forced the gun in (it will go) and then heated the holster with a heat gun to slightly remold the fit.
 
My Blade-Tech Sting Ray holster for the Full size 9mm fits my M&P 22 perfectly. HOWEVER...I keep my holster a little on the loose size for quick IDPA drawing.
 
I just bought an Uncle Mike's size 17 Kydex holster for my M&P9c and it works very well although the holster is a little long because it is apparently designed to work with full size M&Ps. I was pleased to find that it works great with my M&P .22 also. I recommend it for your M&P .22. I found it on e-Bay for $21.90, including shipping.
 
I carry my M&P 9 OWB in a Safariland 6378 ALS holster. My M&P 22 goes in no problem.
 
 
I was pretty sure my Safariland ALS for the M&P 9 fit my M&P 22. Only tried once though. I also have a Desantis Glock 20 holster for the M&P 9 and it fits it well. Need to try it for the M&P 22
