I cannot decide between the two... The SuperTuck looks more comfortable, but 5 weeks is a long time to wait. Whereas the MTAC is 3 days.

Thoughts/Opinions?

Or any other IWB holsters for my M&P 9c

The SuperTuck is thinner by a slim margin. I really like the Minotaur, and have had Minotaur's for a couple different pistols, but was never able to get them to stay in one place on my belt with the factory clips. Might have something to do with being skinny?

The SuperTuck is the single most stable holster I've ever owned, and very comfortable. That said, I no longer own one. But I'd go with the Supertuck for a hybrid. I just like leather.

That is the one thing I keep hearing about the MTAC is that it never stays in one spot on your belt and keeps moving... hmm

There IS a reason that there is a wait for the crossbreed.

IMHO, its the most comfortable holster offered.

I have one for my M&P 45C.

Call the crossbreed folks.... They are excellent people as well

I have been reading about the Cleveland Holster folks up in Wisconsin. The company and products seem to get very favorable reviews on many forums, offer a solid warranty and support the industry. I will probably spring for a IWB for my 45 DAO 3rd Generation after the holiday. Also, the company offers monthly (I think) discounts for various gun models. The savings are interesting. Stay safe.

look at Old Faithful holsters, they're a great hybrid and are very customizable (type of leather, kydex, etc.) and when you buy one of the kits that comes preassembled they are much cheaper. The wait time wasn't too bad, I went with the kit that is all ready except needing to be put together and putting it together took about 20 minutes.

Have you looked at CB's "second's" page? They sell their returned holsters on there for cheap.

I have no experience with CompTac so no comment. But I've run the MiniTuck for my Shield. I like it but I still run AIWB.

I'll second kisportolt on Old Faithful. Very comfortable for all day carry, adjustable for tension, cant and hight, tuckable and customizable as well as affordable options. I carry a Shield, 40c, and 40fs M&P. Draw and presentation is quick and smooth. Concealment is... well, hard to see! Old Faithful Holsters - The Holster Store of Most Comfortable Gun Holsters

One thing I heard about the Crossbreed's are the holster hits the Mag release and likes to drop the mags when moving/walking

Both are good choices, I have had Crossbreed for 3 years and wont look back. Its worth the wait. I have heard god things about MTAC also. Not sure if MTAC has it but I know Crossbreed has 2 week trial period, so you could buy it and see if you like it then if not send it back just pay shipping and get the other.

I did a crossbreed and was not happy with it. Stiff and not as adjustable as I would have liked and the clips are somewhat wide for even mid sized pistols. Bought a comp-tac minotuar and found a very flexable adjustable holster that will allow for the holsters body to be changed for a differ handgun in minutes. Yes it a little thicker but that because its main leather has glove leather on the back side and stitched on . Its also has 1 1/2" less OA width than a supertuck for the same handgun. A they will do or did have a trail period.

How long did you wear your crossbreed before you changed Crossbreeds are stiff in the begining (not as stiff as the White Hats though) but they eventually break in and shape to your body.

I had a crossbreed for my sig 229 and ordered a white hat for my 40c after hearing all the positive reviews and it was lot cheaper. When i got the white hat in, i could tell it was not even close to the quality of the crossbreed. I was able to return the white hat and ordered a crossbreed immediately. Both times i have ordered, it took only 2 weeks even though the site says longer. I learned the hard way, but not making that mistake again. Dont forget to get a good belt as well if you do not already have one.

I have not tried the MTAC but wouldnt mind reading up more on it.

Im thinking about get the Old Faithful holster, they look like the best between the Crossbreed and MTAC..

Thoughts?

Affirmative. You saw the "30 day Challenge Guarantee"? You wear the holster for 30 days and, if dissatisfied with comfort and concealment, you get your money back AND keep the holster. What's there to lose? :D

I started out carrying a SIG P239, and tried a Minotaur, a Milt Sparks VM2 (a work of art -- I waited six months for it) and the Crossbreed Supertuck. The Crossbreed was the most comfortable of the three, and seemed to have the most positive retention. I've never looked back since, and now also have Crossbreeds for a SIG SP2022, Kahr PM9, and two for my current carry, a .40 Shield (one purchased before the Laserguard came out, one after). I can carry in a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe all day in comfort. One complaint I do have is that the metal clips are only available in black for the Supertuck -- they stand out somewhat if you are wearing a brown belt and tucking in. The Minotaur plastic clips are available in brown and perhaps other colors. That's a small price to pay for the comfort of the Crossbreed, however.

Also, I don't know the situation now, but when I bought my Minotaur, it was only available in cowhide. Here on the Gulf coast the the Crossbreeds in the optional horsehide really stand up to hot, humid weather.

I don't have any experience with CB or MTAC, but my Old Faithful is great. I read that you didn't like the tension of the CB or the clips, and with the Old Faithful you are able to adjust both of those. As stated above, they have a great 30 day garauntee if you do not like it. The clips took some getting used to as they are stiff at first, but once you find where you like to wear it and take it on and off a couple times you get used to it. The leather (I went with horsehide) and kydex are quality and they give you different size spacers for tension adjustment.

Dont know if this has changed, but when the gun is holstered, the mag release does not make contact with the holster at all. I can't speak for all the models but i have owned the crossbreed for the Sig 229R and the m&p 40c.
