I shot Bullseye for a number of years with my Rugar Mark III Gov't Target. It is a very accurate handgun with absolutely no feed/fire issues. I can run every brand and velocity of ammo through it without issue. The only gripes are that it's quite heavy. And the mag ejector is on the bottom of the grip – not in a traditional location behind the trigger. As a result you need to press and strip the mag out. The mag well is quite small to insert another mag without looking, too.
Recently I found a local range that hosts several rimfire steel challenge and IPSC competitions for rifle and pistol. My questions are, "should I attempt to shoot my Ruger or purchase a M&P22 to shoot these practical pistol competitions?" If it is the Ruger I'll need to find a remedy for the mag ejector and loading issue.
