Default Holster recommendation for motorcycle rider?

I spent 90% of my time on my bike.
What will be a comfortable IWB for my M&P9C ?
Also do you know any holster that it will be comfy as OWB while riding?
Thanks,

Default Holster recommendation for motorcycle rider?

I had the same dilemma. I carry my Shield in a Maxpedition versipack while riding. Kind of like carrying a purse.

But, very practical for me. Put my phone and other stuff from my pocket in the pack.

I ride a Harley softail with forward controls, and with my feet on the pegs things would fall out of my pockets.

Everything is secure, handy, and no more worries or concerns.

I think the 9c would fit in one of these.

Mine stays in cheap Uncle Mikes holster held in place in a tank bag by Velcro when I'm on the bike. The last thing I want is to have a hunk of steel or polymer on my hip during a get-off at speed. When I park the bike, the gloves go in the bag and the pistol goes in a pocket in the leathers.

Default Holster recommendation for motorcycle rider?

I'm with MichiganScott on this one, I don't want to ever go down and have the extra bulge hit the ground first doing more damage to my hip. Plus I'm on a sport bike so in tuck it's not as comfortable. I am however looking into a shoulder rig to go under my jacket this year. I know there's still a possibility of landing on that as well, but the possibility is FAR less IMO. I've been riding bikes since I was 4 and can't recall a single time landing in a way that would affect a shoulder rig. I've many times ended up with bruised hips and a few years back I had a close friend pass because he was ejected off his snowmachine and landed on his hip on a stump. I know it's a much different situation, but it just showed me how important/fragile hips really are. I think in the end it's going to come down to your body and what you're riding.

I rode an Electraglide followed by a Heritage ST. I elected to go the Kel-Tec 380 (or Ruger version) in Uncle Mikes pocket liner, front jeans pocket. This arrangement was great on long road trips: flat, soft and secure. The 380 didn't have the bite of my 340 (357) but it was easy to carry wheter I had a passenger, T-bag or whatever.... just remember to Keep the rubber side down.

04 Road King, I just carry my M&P 9c in a TT Gunleather Hi Ride or Garrett Industries Kydex. I usually wear a long sleeve HD Sweatshirt which covers the gun really well. For a while I was carrying my M&P full size 9 without a problem

My Ruger LC9 fits a zippered pocket inside my vest just fine, with a Model 19 4" in the saddle bag just in case...

Consider some of the "belly band holsters. Worn at the 9:30 - 10;00 [cross draw position] it should be well protected from fall or slides and be minimally intrusive to your BOD!. Nick

This is what I was originally going to go with, but it just barely gets in the way of me going into full tuck. Of course I'm part of a minority that will ever go into full tuck because I'm on a sport bike. If on a cruiser/tourer I think this would work well.

I always have the gun on me, not on the bike, because in a get-off I don't want to be separated from the gun (same goes for cell phone). Besides that, when I park the bike I don't want to have to remove the gun from the bike in a public setting. For commutes I just put on the gun how I'm going to wear it for the day: IWB in either a Remora or Old Faithful. For extended time on the saddle, I put it in a Nemesis pocket holster in my motorcycle jacket pocket.

Ride safe and often.

was at walmarts one day and they had a new display of shwinn bags. $7. small, maybe 5"x 2" x4" height. but the bag could be mounted on the handle bar, belt loop, slightly padded. didn`t get it then. went back they were all gone. now i check every walmart bike section. never found one again.

I ordered one of these so I can easily slip my rain gear on over the top.

I carry a 642 airweight in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster and don't even know it's there. I ride an ST1300 and used a bellyband holster at one time but in Florida sweat would get on the gun which led to problems. The nemesis is rubber and works well for me.

I always carried while riding. I agree with the poster above, it has to be on you and not the bike. To accomplish this I used a fanny pack. Since I rode BMWs I had a three inch roundel sewed to the front of the pack, a hide in plain sight theory. I carried my billfold in the front so when i paid for gas it was obvious that I used it for other purposes. When riding I could shift it to my side for comfort.
