I tried the search, but must have not put in the right words.
Just was wondering if aluminum cases are ok to use in m&p shield 9mm? Thanks to all of you for setting me straight on the steel cases. I like the brass cases best, but have the oppertunity to get 5 boxes of 50 each of 115 grain Herter's nylon jacket. BTW, these are made by Blazer. Thanks very much in advance.

I shoot anything out of mine. Brass, steel, aluminum, cast bullets/reloads, etc.

No issues here, some may say differently.

Shoot them all. It doesn't matter. I shoot anything and everything out of mine. No problems.

Aluminum cases will not hurt your Shield. That said, I am not a fan of Blazer ammo and I have had occasional malfunctions. I don't know about you, but ANY malfunction leaves me with the nagging feeling that it MIGHT be the gun, so I don't much care to practice with ammo from which I might have problems.

Check with your gun range, both of the local ones I frequent prohibit steel or aluminum cased ammunition. I've heard all kinds of reasons why (none of which made sense to me:rolleyes:) but it's their sandbox.
