Default M&P trigger reset

Recently purchased a M&P 9 pro series 4.25 in. barrel. Was going to purchase a RAM kit but have read that S&W have updated their sear housing blocks in there newer M&P's and the Apex RAM kit no longer fits... Are there any ways or different kits that will work?

I purchased a 9mm FS a couple of weeks ago with the new sear block. Reset is much better than the older ones, but not great. I polished the trigger bar, sear, and striker block and now the reset is as good as my older 5" 9mm Pro with the Apex RAM.

I am pretty pleased with the reset and can feel it but a lot of times when you think it has reset it actually hasn't. There is just a little play right before it resets that I would like to get rid of.

Bobermo- I'm not sure. The only difference I see is that my 5" Pro has a plug where the thumb safety would be. The FS with the new sear block has no plug. The frame does not have a hole for the thumb safety. If you take the sear block out, there are very noticeable differences.

The sear on my 3-28-13 test dated FS 9mm is defiantly different than my older one I bought last year and is pretty similar to the Apex sear.

Apex sear on the left, new stock sear on the right

I wonder if you can just order the new sear from s&w themselves... The whole assembly would probably be cheaper than the apex sear alone...

I have a 9m 4.25 inch core and with the Comp spring kit, apex trigger, apex USB and apex sear the one thing i've noticed is that it has pretty much no reset.... No feel or sound at all.

I disassembled mine and I have the old sear. My test date was December 2012. So not real sure anymore of when they changed the sears but I will be ordering the RAM kit.

My 5" Pro with test fire date Jan. 2013 has the old sear. My FS with test fire date Mar. 2013 has the new sear. I've heard of others with test fire dates in Nov. and Dec. who got the new sear. Seems to be kind of random.

I'd call and ask, but considering they say magazine base plates and a rear sight are restricted parts, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Bobermo- I also have a 9 pro with 4.25 barrel with the non functioning internal lock and mine has the old sear block I've determined from disassembling it today so it should accept the apex kit.
Jdubpro- definitely seems pretty random unless it has to do with the internal lock system.

NO! The entire sear block is available. From the comments by our armorers (who did have to take the sear block apart), this is the best/easiest way to accomplish your objective.

OP, why not email Apex instead of floating a question to the internet?

My 9c has what the gunshop employee called the "good" trigger. I noted that it has almost no reset, a lot like the trigger in my 3913 in single-action mode. He asked me if I "shoot to the reset" and when I told him no, he said this trigger is perfect for me.
