Congrats!! I've had mine for almost a year now and love it. Can't carry at work but it's with me every other minute of the day.

Congrats on the .40 Shield. It is one very comfortable weapon to carry around all day. Now you need to get lucky again and find a 9mm barrel and 9mm mag to convert it to 9mm for range. Finding the barrel and the mag may turn out to be harder than actually finding the gun though.

Definitely, won't find that on the side of the road... ROFLMAO.

Please excuse my humor, odd as it may be. I do like my recently purchased Shield 40. Been to the range once with it, and no malfxn's. I will say its a snappy little devil. It's not a show stopper but your 9mm barrel/mag idea is a very good thought, IMO.

I'm going to be the dissenter on all the barrel swap suggestions. How much is a barrel? A new mag is ~$38 or so?

The last I saw it, WWB FMJ .40 was $36 a box and 9mm was about $25 a box (100 rd packs at Walmart).

I rather shoot .40 all the time. Never mind it's easier to find these days. I'd swap only if I had a nice stash of 9mm or wanted to make it common to my other pistols if they were 9mm's. Or 9mm was closer to 50% the price of .40.
