Default Striker channel burrs in plastic liner?

I was cleaning out my striker channel tonight in my Shield 40 and noticed burrs inside the plastic channel lining. If you look into the channel from the rear the burrs are from the 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock in the liner and less than half way down.

I've shot about 300rds or so and have not had any problems so I'm not really worried about it as I don't see any damage or marks on the firing pin spring or anywhere else but I wanted to ask if anyone else has seen this with their Shield or other M&P's?

I'm guessing it is obviously caused by the spring but I've just never seen that happen before or maybe just never payed close enough attention.

I've never noticed it in the three M&P's I've got.

It apparently doesn't cause any problems.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Normally the burrs show up in the striker blocker bore hole, and these cause the gritty trigger pull. As long as the burrs in the striker bore do not extend higher than the nylon liner, they should not be an issue.

The scratches and burrs are actually inside the plastic liner and the burrs actually stick up a bit, the scratching on the plastic liner has to be caused from being hit by the striker spring I just hope it will only scratch it so much and then stop much like other parts break in.

I shot another hundred rounds today and again their was very slight wear inside the striker channel in the plastic channel linear.

Again I believe the spring is hitting the linear causing a little to peel off, the wear is very small and seems less than last time I shot so I think it's fine and will stop all together soon if its not finished already. In the mean time I will keep a look out for any small plastic pieces in the striker channel. Oh and yet again the Shield ran perfect with JHP and FMJ I love this gun.

If you have not already you should certainly clean out your striker channel.
