This is from the S&W website where I queried "Shield Trigger Alert". It directed me to a "IMPORTANT CONSUMER SAFETY ALERT" and the following PDF file:

And like you, I thought a new thread dealing specifically with S&Ws official posting would be beneficial to the readers instead of having to wade through hundreds of posts.
