The Shield specific 10-8 performance rear sights are back in stock. S&W M&P Shield Rear Sight - 10-8 Performance Store. I am adding this rear along with the Ameriglo Proglo front sight to my shield.

I prefer dots in the rear too

10-8 makes outstanding products. My rear sight is due for delivery tomorrow. I went with a .125 brass bead front sight. As with most of the stuff from 10-8, it comes slightly oversized to enable a perfect fit (after fitting). The front sight took a little while to fit. I expect the rear to also require fitting.

Installed this evening. Minor fitting...This rear sight is head and shoulders above stock.

What did you use to remove the stock sights

I used a B&J Machine P500 universal sight pusher. It was a piece of cake, I didn't have to exert any effort at all.
