I went to the local Fleet Farm and found one in the back room.

Not for sale.

The manager said because of the safety notice they cannot sell the Shield to anyone. She said it was corporate policy.

I wonder how many others are holding onto their Shields in stock waiting for management to tell them they can sell them....

BTW, Fleet Farm is a very interesting store! But their gun display area is a little bit on the weak side.

My boss recently got a letter from S&W stating to send any Shields back. I told him it was just an "inspect the trigger" notice, but he disagrees. We sold all of ours, so we don't have any to send back, but we haven't received any in 3 weeks, & we normally get 2 a week. GARY

I was in Bass Pro and overheard a salesman telling a customer they had Shields in the back, but were sending them to S&W for "recall"!
