New trigger reset in the 45s yet?
Just wondering if the new components have been put into the 45s to give it a more positive trigger reset. If so, any place selling these parts yet?

I don't think so. I'd be curious to learn of any source for the so called new parts.
Lots have posted their new guns have better resets. But, no one has posted a pic of these new parts. I heard of one guy who talked to S&W and was told there were no new parts. This would be consistent with my experience because I have yet to handle a new gun with these new parts. All the guns I've held this year still have the poor reset.

My response is to say, "who cares" if the new trigger re-set is in the M&P45 yet. As Vickers and Hackathorn both say, "shooting to re-set" or short-stroking the action, is the worst training scar in current students of theirs. Let that trigger go all the way forward, and stop listening and feeling for re-set and then jerking the trigger back to hurry the next shot. The sooner everyone stops worrying about it, the better we will be. Then we will not have to worry about whether the pistol has the new parts or not. In addition, the next time you fire a revolver, you are less likely to lock up that action because you are used to short stroking the pistol.

I'm curious since it was posted here that the new components would be in the 45s by the end of the year. Shooting to reset or not, they where supposed to get the tactile reset and the Apex contoured like sear found in the other models now.

I am very happy with my 2010 MP 45 FS. The trigger started rough, but after a couple hundred rounds and dry firing, it has smoothed out a great deal.
I have two Glocks, 19 and 17 3rd Gen which I also like, distinct reset. The MP reset does not bother me at all.
If I could only have one it would be the MP!

I've had my M&P .45 several weeks and shot ~50+ rds & wanted a mod to the trigger. I agree with Shawn on the most part. However, I did have the sear replaced (only the sear) with an Apex that put the trigger down to 5# (near my P226). It's now perfect for me. You don't need the kit, IMO... Save your $, and if you want a lighter trigger just replace the sear. My GS tech told me he uses the stock trigger in his M&Ps. A lot of this is pure hype, again, IMO, but for me I wanted a lighter trigger. He also said after about 2,000 rds the roughness will go away. From the other post "a couple hundred rds" was stated.

I have an Apex sear in my FS45 and can shoot it just fine, just wondering if anyone got the new components in any recent 45 M&Ps and if they're available anywhere.
