Bodyguard Magazine Insertion
A friend of mine bought a non laser Bodyguard yesterday. Nice little gun and perfect for his use. I expect him to be a carry a fair amount, but only go to the range once or twice a year guy.
Anyway, we were looking it over today and I found that inserting a magazine was a bit of a chore. The top of the magazine (I think) was hanging up on the magazine release. Jiggle it a bit and it would lock in. Press the magazine release just a bit and it would lock in. Try and just press it in and it would hang up. I did find that sliding the magazine in in one smooth motion and using just a bit of force and it would lock in fine.
My question is if this is normal and will it break in after a bit of use.
Thanks.

I have the same pistol and find that pressing the mag release as the new mag goes in helps. This does loosen up quite a bit the more you shoot it.

Thanks. Knowing my friend as I do, he won't shoot it enough for this to loosen up.

Slam the mag in really hard and it will auto-chamber from a full mag.

Completely normal on the newer BG models. I press the mag release when inserting the mag.

The magazine walls are straight and if you look inside the mag catch is not beveled, but sticks straight out so the sides of the mag hit up on the catch, best thing to do is to push in on the mag release button when inserting a mag..

I also did notice that the mag was a little tuff but pushing the mag release button lets the mag slide right in. Don't know how many rounds you have through the gun but after time and shooting this dose start to lossesn up. I have put right around 900 rounds through mine and I can just slide the two stock mags in without pushing on the release button. I have a pro mag 15 round mag for the range and I do still have to push the button to side it in.

He hasn't put any rounds through it yet. I'll drag him to the range once enough show has melted.
