Default M&P 22 Updated Range Report

I've put 1500 rounds through my new M&P 22 in the past 3 weeks, and it's been a hell of a fun gun to shoot. I've done a lot of practice at 5 yards (this is my first handgun) but today I wanted to shoot solely at 10 yards with the silhouette target that they use for the conceal carry license class. Not that I'm planning on carrying a .22, I just wondered how I'd do on the test.

I'm pretty happy with the results. They said none of your shots can be outside the 7, and I managed to keep them all within the 9.

I fired 100 rounds of Winchester White Box, and 100 rounds of Federal bulk to see if I noticed any accuracy difference. It looks like I had a better grouping with the Federal.

Now I'm just waiting for my new 9mm Pro to come in to the FFL this weekend so that I can have a second toy to play with at the range! Hopefully for my wallet's sake, I can stop at two M&P handguns for now, but we'll see.

For some reason, I could only upload one attachment on the post. The first one was the Winchester ammo, this one is the Federal ammo. 100 rounds of each. 10 yards for each target. Definitely room to improve, but I'm feeling pretty happy about my progress!

Thanks for the info. Actually got to hold one of those, and a 40FS today. Both are on my to do list, with 22 being first. Promised my daughter I'd get a pistol that we could shoot together. Can't wait.

That's pretty good. I'm glad you're having fun shooting. A friend of mine was talking about those tests and I concluded I'd take my test with my 1911 because I can put each round on top of one another, but not quite the same story with my other handguns. I live in Georgia, and we don't have a test for the ccw permit.

If it's a 22, it's all about fun.
