I'm looking for a light/laser for my M&P45 (4inch barrel) that would be flushed w/ the end of the barrel....and any suggestions for a holster for it.

I like Inforce APL, very light with a small profile compared to the X300. Forget the laser, they're a useless waste of money... Buy mags and ammo instead of the laser.

The laser is not useless, if they are it wouldn't have such a following. I have one on a LCP but not would buy another again. Maybe the op will like it or maybe he'll learn his the lesson. I got the CT for the LCP because they lack true sights but I would not put them on a regular gun. Ok maybe when my eyes get so messed up that prescribe glasses are not enough.

Then why does the Military, law enforcement, and many gun writers think otherwise??

I'm not going to discuss the merits of lasers/flashlights, but if you want both, you're pretty much locked into a CT grip laser (unless you want to try your luck on a guide rod laser but I've heard they don't last long). Streamlight make a nice LED light that will fit on your Picatinny rail and they're good quality as well. Blade Tech makes holsters for pistols with lights, and they custom make holsters as well.

Here's my FS9 with a Streamlight TLR-4. I'm pleased.

Take a look at STL-900 Tactical Light and Laser I have one on my Sig 1911, has been bullet proof. Will mount on any rail.
