M&P Shield extended magazine?

Does anyone know if promag or anyone else has an extended mag for the Shield in the works? I just recently got a M&P Shield 40, and I still can't decide if I like the 6 round mags (with Pearce extensions on them) or the 7 round mags better. Personally, the only advantage to me for the 7 round mags is the extra round for the range. I just received some extra mags I ordered in both sizes since I couldn't make a decision, but then again I like having both. If I carry it, I would probably stick to the 6 round since with the Pearce extension it doesn't add any length to the backstrap but continue to use the 6 & 7 to shoot with since the feel is similar enough.

But that got me thinking about extended magazines. It's surprising that they have an almost "Glock" like one for the 380 Bodyguard that extends well past the size of someone's hand, other M&P models, but nothing for the Shield. If there are no plans, anyone have any idea why not?

Also, some quick research revealed product MGPMSMI31 listed on a few sites as 10 round 40 S&W mag for the shield with a blue finish. Looks like parts 26-31 are all Shield products, going from 9mm 7, 8 and 10 up to 40 S&W 6, 7, and 10, in that order. But the few places that have it listed for sale (for pretty solid prices too) are all out of stock and none of them have pictures. Maybe it's coming soon? Also, I saw Sportsman Guide had a mag from a company called Simmons listed for sale, but that was out of stock as well.

I've got a couple of e-mail notifications out for the SMI 31, and the SMI 30 for my Shield 40. Kind of a tricky search with ProMag/Simmons thing. The 26-28 for the 9mm show ProMag, while the 29-31 for the 40 show Simmons as the manufacturer, but both are listed as ProMag. Guess I'll just hang on and see when/if they become available.

While ProMag has some pretty good history with rifle mags, people always seem to be disappointed with their pistol mags... So Buyer Beware when looking at ProMag.

I've heard about problems with some ProMag stuff. Know anything about Simmons?

I HATE ProMags for my pistols. I will never buy another as long as I live.

I have some Promag mags for my M&P FS and my Mini 14. Quite frankly, they're garbage.

There were some burrs to clean up and they feel a bit flimsy. I had to tweak my Mini mags to get them to fit, lock, feed and release without issue. Followers are a bit rough and can bind.

I didn't know their rep was so bad, I thought it was the opposite as far as cheap range mags went anyway. The reviews on retail sites seem to be positive, and even if they are garbage I would probably spend the <$20 for a 10 round 40 S&W mag just for some range fun.
