Shield 9mm No safety, opinions?
Looking to purchase Smith and Wesson 9mm Shield without the safety. I have heard of issues with the .40 cal version with the mag release and accuracy issues...
Any known issues with the No safety version of the 9mm Shield?
Thanks all...

The .40's mag release issue (mag dropping) was solved back in 2012. The only other mag release issue I've read about is some slight surface rust (you can find threads via 'search'.
As mentioned by others, the 'Accuracy Issues' are mostly Trigger Control (usually the 'Nut Behind The Trigger') issues.
There HAVE been a few instances of the sights being grossly out of alignment, but heck... That can happen with ANY Brand/Model and SHOULD be able to be seen via inspection before taking ownership. If they don't look relatively centered and are that far out of alignment, ask for a different pistol from stock.

Ni issues as far as I know. I am carrying one right now. I purchased it a month or so ago and have run over 500 rounds through it, mostly fast shooting, without any problem. Have in a Gunfighter, Inc outside the belt holster. Nice rig. I would get one.

I prefer the safety and my 9mm Shield has the safety.
It has been a great pistol to shoot and to carry.

I have the 9mm w/o the safety. Bought it because I'm a lefty and it can't be switched. Love it!

If you search you'll find all Shields were subject to a recall.

If you are looking at a used one, make sure it's OK or has been repaired. A new one will be unaffected. The No Safety model was produced after the recall so none would be affected.
Regarding safety v. no safety, all I can say is "here we go again".
My Shield 9 is no safety. Simply because I prefer it. Plenty of existing threads on the "discussion". Try taking advantage of the search feature.

Mine(my wife's) new one has a safety. We leave it off....
As some one said under oath "What difference does it make."

The only real safety on any gun is the person handling it.
My M&P 9 doesn't have a safety and I haven't had any issues with it.
